Artemis II Coloring Pages: Launch Yourself into Space!
It has been a long time since humanity went beyond low Earth orbit. The last time was during the Apollo 17 mission in 1972.
It is the year 2026, and we are finally coming back. Well, not exactly you or me (sad, I know), but we as humankind.
What we really can do, though, is choose one of these Artemis II coloring pages and imagine ourselves inside the Orion spacecraft, at least for a little moment.
Choose any of these free space printables while waiting for the big launch. The latest known date is March 2026, but as always, this can be delayed, as it has many times in the past. So it might be a good idea to download more than one of these Artemis II printables. If you are a real Space fan see our rocket coloring pages too!

Did you know these facts about Artemis II mission?
- Unlike the Apollo missions, Artemis II will not land on the Moon. The crew will instead fly around the Moon on a free return trajectory, passing behind its far side before naturally heading back toward Earth. This path is designed to maximize safety while testing deep space systems.
- At its farthest point, the Orion spacecraft will travel nearly 500,000 kilometers from Earth. This means the Artemis II crew will venture farther into space than any humans have ever gone before, even surpassing the distance reached during the Apollo era.
- Artemis II is also a historic international mission. The crew includes the first Canadian astronaut to travel to the Moon, highlighting the growing cooperation between NASA and international space agencies.
- Artemis II serves as a full test flight for future lunar landings. The mission will validate life support systems, navigation, communication, and crew operations needed for Artemis III, which aims to return humans to the Moon’s surface.
