What is Hoppers movie about?

Disney and Pixar’s Hopper 2026 animated film, known officially as Hoppers, is a Pixar Animation Studios feature film directed by Daniel Chong that follows Mabel Tanaka, an animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use technology to “hop” into a lifelike robotic beaver and communicate with animals inside the animal world.

As Mabel explores this animal world beyond anything she could have imagined, she begins uncovering mysteries within the animal world while trying to save the glade and protect animals and their habitat from Mayor Jerry Generazzo of Beaverton. T

he official teaser and trailer promoted the movie for theaters March 6, 2026, and the voice cast includes Piper Curda as Mabel, Bobby Moynihan as King George, Jon Hamm as Mayor Jerry Generazzo, Meryl Streep as the Insect Queen, and Dave Franco as the Insect King Titus. Rotten Tomatoes also describes the story as an adventure about robotic animals, a robot body, and the chance to talk to animals and understand them in a whole new way.
