Lamine Yamal can probably understand or use some basic English, but he does not seem to speak it fluently in public interviews.
Most of his major interviews are done in Spanish. In his 60 Minutes interview, his answers were translated into English, which suggests he was not conducting the interview directly in English. In a CBS Sports appearance after Barcelona vs Inter, he also used Spanish while the presenters translated for the audience.
That does not mean he knows no English at all. Like many young footballers at big European clubs, he may understand common football phrases and short questions. Some clips online show him reacting to English or using simple words. But there is a big difference between saying a few lines and giving a full interview.
So the simple answer is this: Lamine Yamal is mainly a Spanish speaker in public. He may know some English, but there is no strong evidence that he is fluent in English yet.
